Spandan Cardiac Monitoring Trainings and Medical Camps sponsored by SELCO

Enriching Lives with Thorough ECG Training

Sunfox Technologies, in collaboration with SELCO Foundation, conducted Spandan training camp at Jaynagar, Sittling Bangalore, SHRC,
Raipur, Chattisgarh, and Swasthaya Swaraj, Kaniguma, Odisha. Our objective was to train people about Spandan i.e. how to use, positionsbr/> of electrodes,< how to share reports to the experts, etc. plus general health check-ups, and advise treatment to those patients who require attention

What We Did

Training at Karuna Trust, Jayanagar
The day began with an interaction with Dr. H. Sudarshan and the Karuna Trust team. We conducted a camp from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, benefiting around 15 people and corporation staff. We provided training on Spandan ECG Device, covering registration, connecting leads, generating reports, and exporting them as PDFs. Mr. Mahantu Yalasangi from SELCO Foundation was instrumental in organising the training.
Training at Tribal Hospital, Sittilingi, Tamil Nadu
At Tribal Health Initiative Hospital, Sittilingi, we interacted with Dr. Regi George, Managing Trustee. The camp lasted from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We discussed our product’s potential for remote healthcare and tribal health initiatives, demonstrated it, and trained 5 nurses. We then tested over 10 patients, some critically ill, generating reports compared to conventional ECGs used by the hospital.
Training at SHRC Raipur, District Hospital Raipur and Training Place for Asha workers (Mitanins)
At SHRC, we demonstrated Spandan to Mr. Prabir Chatterjee, Director. We also tested it on SHRC staff and shared PDF reports via email. Later, at the District Hospital, Dr. Ravi Tiwari and his associate provided positive feedback. We then visited Asha members trained by Dr. Prabir, where we showcased Spandan’s features and demonstrated taking ECGs on a smartphone.
Training at CHC Abhanpur, PHC & Wellness Center at Manikchori And AMO (PHC)
We met Dr. Acquinas and introduced Spandan. At CHC Abhanpur, Dr. Amita Jha was impressed by our demonstration and ready for a pilot run. At PHC & Wellness Center in Manikchori, Dr. Abhishek Kumar Mishra and Nurse Deenakshi Taudi were satisfied with the demonstration. Finally, we addressed 12 AMOs, explaining Spandan’s features and usability in remote areas.
Training at Swasthaya Swaraj, Odisha
We arrived at Swasthaya Swaraj at Kaniguma around 2:30 PM and met the lab technician and 7 to 8 nurses preparing for the next day’s OPD. Dr. Randell was absent. We demonstrated Spandan to all present staff, explaining ECG indicators, electrode placement, report sharing, and generation. After giving them the device to try, we discussed the challenges they face and Spandan’s potential impact on cardiac care.

In Conclusion

Held in multiple locations, these training camps covered device usage, electrode placement, report sharing, and provided general health check-ups and treatment advice. These efforts contribute to improving healthcare accessibility and empowering individuals to monitor and manage cardiac health effectively.
