Narrow QRS are fast cardiac rhythms (generally more than 100 beats/min) with a QRS duration of 100 ms or less. A wide QRS on other hand refers to a QRS or duration of heart > 120 ms. although rarely life-threatening, these arrhythmias are a common source of heart problems. The main cause of these is right or left bundle branch block and hyperkalemia. The treatment depends on the seriousness of the problem as these are common in some people, but if the heartbeats do not slow or are not normal after some time one must visit the doctor.
