In a heartening display of innovation meeting urgent healthcare needs, Spandan ECG’s crucial role at Sarapdad Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Rajkot district stands as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of technology in saving lives.
What We Did
On an ordinary day turned extraordinary, a 77-year-old man arrived at Sarapdad PHC, grappling with Severe Chest Pain. In the absence of the primary physician, Dr. Sharma's, it was pharmacist Manojbhai's quick thinking that initiated a life-saving journey.
Utilizing Spandan ECG, Manojbhai performed an ECG test, quickly diagnosing the patient with a massive Myocardial Infarction (MI). The critical ECG data was immediately shared with Dr.Varshit Hathi, a dedicated cardiologist of the Yi Rajkot Rural initiative.
Immediate treatment was initiated at the Primary Health Center (PHC), effectively stabilising the patient and preparing them for urgent transfer to a specialised pathology laboratory facility.
The patient received free life-saving angiography and angioplasty, showcasing the collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals and community initiatives.
